When she was first given access to the World Wide Web at work, Debra Winchell clearly saw a connection to the future depicted in the popular Star Trek series. Ms. Winchell has many years experience in the use of professional office software gained from working in several of the area’s leading companies. She has a sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and several social sites on the World Wide Web. She also tutored customer service staff at a non-profit medical transportation agency in the use of new scheduling software. Her exposure to various programs landed her a position in the information technology office of a health insurance company where her ability to learn quickly and willingness to learn led to exposure to more kinds of software and experiences. For over a year she solved the security and log-in issues for medical, insurance broker and employer users of the company’s Intranet claims portal. She continues to see personal computers of every size as a valuable communication tool that can be enjoyable to use with proper training and assistance. Debra will provide a full course syllabus AND register early and get discounts on KOTC mouse pads!
